The rules. Plain English.
By creating an account or using 2UP you agree to these terms. They are a contract between you and Flipside, the studio that operates 2UP. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. The service
2UP is a companion app for the FiveM and GTA roleplay communities. It surfaces public data from third parties (FiveM/Cfx.re, Twitch, Kick) and lets you store your own content (characters, lore, saved servers). We can change, add, or remove features at any time. We'll try to give notice for material changes.
1.1 Relationship with Apple
This agreement is between you and Flipside, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for 2UP or its content. To the extent this agreement conflicts with Apple's Standard EULA, the following minimum terms of Apple's Standard EULA apply: scope of license, maintenance and support, warranty, product claims, intellectual property, legal compliance, third-party terms, and developer name and address. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and old enough to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you confirm a parent or legal guardian has read and accepted these terms on your behalf. The app is rated for general audiences, but roleplay content on third-party services may include mature themes we don't control.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and you are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
3. Your account
- Keep your sign-in credentials safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Don't impersonate other people, factions or organisations.
- One person, one account. Please don't create multiple accounts to abuse limits.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use 2UP to harass, threaten, dox or defame anyone.
- Upload character lore, LFG posts or contributions that contain illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or unlawfully copyrighted material.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or rebuild the service against our published API rate limits.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, refresh-rate limits, or auth checks.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Grounds for suspension include: fraud, payment chargebacks, breach of these terms, abuse of other users, and security issues. If your account is suspended you can appeal by emailing support@flipside.life; we'll respond within 14 days.
5. Content you create
You retain all rights to characters, lore entries and other content you create inside 2UP. By posting content to a public surface (community directory, LFG board, event board, character profiles), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display that content to other 2UP users for the sole purpose of operating the service. You can revoke this licence by deleting the content or your account.
5.1 Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content on 2UP infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@flipside.life including: (1) identification of the work allegedly infringed, (2) the URL or in-app location of the offending material, (3) your contact details, (4) a good-faith statement that the use is not authorised, (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate, and (6) your physical or electronic signature. We will respond to valid notices and may remove content or terminate repeat infringers.
6. The Crew subscription & tips
Subscription tiers. Crew is offered as an auto-renewable subscription. Available tiers: Monthly and Annual (prices shown in the App Store at point of purchase, in your local currency). Each billing period grants: unlimited saved servers and streamers, unlimited characters, extended history (90 days), faster refresh, and access to premium themes and app icons.
Payment & renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID upon confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours of the period end at the then-current price. You can manage or cancel anywhere by going to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a paid subscription.
Lifetime. Lifetime access means the lifetime of the app: while 2UP is operated by Flipside, your Crew benefits do not expire.
Crew benefits after lapse. If your subscription lapses, the limits revert to the free tier. Your stored data (saves, characters) is not deleted.
Refunds. All App Store purchases are processed by Apple and Flipside cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not make retroactive material changes to paid subscription terms during an active billing period without offering a refund path or opt-out.
Tips are one-time, non-refundable in-app purchases processed by Apple. They unlock the same Crew status as a subscription period commensurate with the tip size, then revert to free at the end of that period.
7. Third-party data
The server lists, streamer feeds and player counts you see come from third-party providers (FiveM/Cfx.re, Twitch, Kick). We don't control that data and don't guarantee its accuracy. The third parties' own terms apply to their data. We are not affiliated with Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, Cfx.re, Twitch or Kick.
Force majeure. Outages or failures at those services (or general network conditions) may affect what 2UP can show; we're not liable for downtime caused by upstream services.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
2UP is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular server or streamer will be available. Use at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Flipside is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of 2UP. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or AUD $50.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Flipside, its officers, employees and contractors from any claim, damage or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your content; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights; or (d) your violation of any law.
11. Termination
You can stop using 2UP at any time and delete your account from the Settings screen. On deletion, your account and linked data are removed within 7 days, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal or fraud-prevention reasons. Aggregated or anonymous data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or stop operating the service entirely with reasonable notice.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. We'll surface material changes in-app and bump the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Disputes
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact support@flipside.life and attempt good-faith resolution for 30 days. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
14. General
Entire agreement. These terms (with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and Flipside about 2UP, and supersede prior agreements.
Severability. If any clause is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a clause isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You can't assign your account. We can assign these terms as part of a sale or restructuring.
